One of three papers to the 78th Meeting of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Committee on Housing and Land Management. The content of the papers included: the research base to support the Ministerial declaration documented in an Annex to the Declaration together with papers on (i) key trends and challenges in sustainable urban development in the ECE Region, (ii) sustainable urban development strategies and (iii) practical steps to promote sustainable housing at regional, national and local levels.
