Abstract:

A keynote paper given to the annual conference of the Gazprom Neft Company in St Petersburg Russia. Gazprom Neft have a programme of corporate social responsibility directed to the regeneration of small scale oil towns in Siberia. Prof Brian Mark Evans from the Glasgow School of Art was invited to give a keynote presentation on the opportunities for community cohesion, quality of place and quality of life that can be brought about though community engagement and urban design.
