Abstract:

This discussion paper provides an overview of the ways in which research-teaching linkages could be enhanced to improve the development of employability attributes. It looks at the background and past practices in the area and highlights the academics' ambivalent relationship with employability. A possible model for beginning to review programme design for enhanced research-teaching linkages to gain meaningful links through course design is outlined.
