Abstract:

This contribution presents an account of the evolution of the information and communication technologies over the last four decades as they are applied to our representation and understanding of the the patrimony of our architectural and archaeological patrimony.
This evolution and current state of development is illustrated in regard to the early work of the ABACUS group at the University of Strathclyde and the current work of the Digital Design Studio at the Glasgow School of Art in its contribution to the Scottish Ten.
