Abstract:

In 2019 Katrina Black gathered a Research & Development team of architects, academics and curators to collect a diverse range of research culminating in an exhibition at Lawson Park. As a team we gathered feminist construction research, made visits to building projects (Matrix Walworth garden, Lancaster Co-Housing) and spoke with trades college in the Lakes area. The exhibition was to act as a catalyst to assemble an all female construction team to deliver a small housing prototype at Grizedale Arts. The exhibition took place in June 2019.

Regrettably, the Covid19 pandemic meant that further workshops and further stages of the project were cancelled.
