Dr Brian Dixon is a lecturer and researcher at the Glasgow School of Art’s Innovation School. He is a studio lead across the school’s Innovation Programmes, and specialist tutor on MDes Design Innovation & Environmental Design. As a researcher, he explores wayfinding design principles; the relationship between twentieth-century philosophies of practice (e.g. pragmatism) and contemporary design research methodologies; and novel approaches to design pedagogy. He holds a PhD in Information Design from University of the Arts London, combined with a practice background in visual communications.
